Pinhel Grande Escolha Syrian white wine is 100% Syrian and is produced by Adega Cooperativa de Pinhel in the Beira Interior area. The nose is all white pear, yellow apple, lemon, flowers and honey. A slight golden color that may indicate oak, although on the palate it is quite acidic and fresh. Regardless, at 14%, this is a bold type of wine. Alcohol is very present on the palate, medium body, medium acidity higher. What this wine lacks in subtlety it makes up for in uniqueness. Highly recommended for fish and seafood dishes.
